Dubai LAB

The Dubai LAB, located in Dubai’s International Humanitarian City, aims to improve the Network’s response to emergencies through enhanced performance monitoring, reporting and information management systems. Current projects include both system upgrades and development projects, supporting increased operational performance, better operational and financial analyses, improved reporting capability and greater transparency. This project also provides a centralized information repository that is a vital tool for continuous operational optimization, and internal and external communication of operations and performance.

How does it work?

UNHRD works collaboratively with students and faculty from the Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai (affiliated with RIT New York) to develop innovative information management technology for tracking non-food items through the humanitarian supply chain. The International Humanitarian City is providing office space and computer equipment to be used by the LAB team.
